My name is Nick Tamble and I am running for a seat on the City Council in Arden Hills. As a seven year resident, my wife Kimberly and I are happy to call Arden Hills home. As a small business owner operating in the residential market, I have come to know many people in Arden Hills and the surrounding areas. Over the past few years, I have participated in local Town Hall Meetings involving our Senator and Representative, as well as City discussion on the TCAAP property and traffic flow along Highway 10.

More recently, I have had discussions with neighbors on issues concerning our city while gaining some support for a public position. My political outlook is simple: effective communication and decisive action through positive working relationships. Rather than pointing at the faults and talking about what someone else hasn't done, let us achieve more by working towards what we can accomplish together. Your vote and voice help decide!

Some things I'd like to be a part of…
- A strategic thinking group who considers new ideas for a sustainable future
- Effective communication and decisive action
- Positive working relationships
- Vibrant local government with active participation from residents and businesses (taxpayers)
- Decisions that provide businesses and environment that is conducive for sustainability and growth
- Maintenance and development of Green Spaces that help build property value and offer a high standard of living

What I'll bring to the table
- 20 years of business operation involving Arden Hills and surrounding communities
- 10 years of government affairs experience involving green spaces and stormwater management
- Focused attention on solutions and active participation
- A fresh attitude for current issues and ideas for a bright future

I grew up just south of Arden Hills in Roseville and am the second of six children to Thomas and Karen Tamble. At an early age, I was fascinated with the garden and could be found eating young snap-peas off the vine in Spring or biting into the hard skin of Haralson apples in Fall. I also spent many a day practicing and playing baseball and basketball, while participating in 5 state tournaments and pursuing both sports in college. During my first college experience, I was exposed to student government and served as Student Senate President. It was here where I learned about committee involvement and communication with different people who wanted different things...a very important lesson learned. Through my high school and college years I founded an outdoor service company and along with my brother Anthony, established Lawn and Landscape Gardens. My interest in school was shared with my entrepreneurial spirit, as I completed a BA in Education and have taken coursework towards an MBA in Project Management and Marketing. In 1997, I married Kimberly Astar with whom I share my life.

For the past 7 years, we have lived at 1382 Indian Oaks Trail and have found much joy in updating our home. We also enjoy hosting garden parties and our neighborhood night out. Other interests of mine include: fishing Lake Michigan, traveling to beaches and parks, diving, writing, and the arts.
